Constellation Reward Sample

Learning Without Tears

Learning Without Tears, an early learning company specializing in Handwriting products for grades K-3, wanted to build an interactive reward system for one of their digital offerings. The product is called 'Phonics, Reading, and Me'. In the lessons, students are able to earn stars. The desire was to create a sort of star map, where students can spend their stars to fill constellations, and populate their night sky as they progress through the program.

Overview:

Prior to this, the company had yet to build anything with quite the level of interactivity they were looking for in this feature, and thus didn't know where to start with it. Having taken interest in Rive recently, I raised it as a possible solution for this use case. Between an in-house developer and I, over just a few months we built a full-functioned reward system that accounted for all their needs. Even pushing the boundaries of what the still-fledgling Rive application was capable of at the time. While the interactive reward system itself cannot be accessed outside of the program, I've included a brief video below showing it in action.
